A NOTE FROM CHARLIE:
Way back when Delbert first started his farm, Ezra started the Feed & Seed - out of his garage at first, but over the years Ezra has made it grow into a real thriving business. He first started hauling all them supplies from Hayward Junction by mule wagons – once every two months, but now that the railroad comes through Snugg Harbor he can git most anything farmers want within three weeks. Floyd and me been thinkin’ ‘bout starting a new business where you can order just about anything ya want and get it the next day. We thought ‘bout namin’ it after a river – somethin’ like Mississippi or Nile or something' like that.
