Lionel Prewar Standard Gauge Train 8-Wheel #312 Two-Tone Brown Observation Car

Description

Lionel prewar standard gauge 8-wheel tinplate #312 two-tone brown observation car with 2 cream doors, a brass rear deck rail, copper journals and link couplers. One journal is missing. Has both air tanks and steps, and all of the journals. Missing the Lionel insert for the rail. I'm not sure whether or not the trucks have been repainted. The rest of the paint looks original to me. HOWEVER, I AM NOT A LIONEL PREWAR EXPERST SO PLEASE EXAMINE THE PHOTOS CLOSELY AND MAKE YOUR OWN DETERMINATION ON CONDITION AND ORIGINAILITY. The roof is pretty nice with light scuffs, flaking, and crazing though there is some paint loss on the edges of the main roof and the clerestory roof.  The body is also pretty nice light scratching, paint wear, rubs and paint loss as shown by the photos. Does have one BB-sized dent in one side of the body. VG plus or so. Would benefit from a clean and polish. Light not tested and is not guaranteed to work. Sold as is.

Shipping
: I will ship to Canada, Alaska and Hawaii. But the cost of shipping to those locations will be more than the quoted shipping price and bidders who live there should contact me prior to the end of the auction for a shipping quote. I will always combine shipping if you purchase multiple lots.
Please note that due to COVID my stated handling time for shipping is 5 days after receiving cleared payment from the buyer. However, I try to ship within 3 days of receiving cleared payment and do so most of the time. If for some reason you cannot wait 5 days before your item is shipped, please do not bid on my items.
Returns
: I will gladly refund your money if I make a mistake in describing something. But please make sure you really want the item before you bid. I do not give returns if a buyer simply changes his or her mind, deciding after the fact that they don't want an item.
