Hein Werner WS 1.5 Ton Hydraulic Floor Jack

Hein Werner  Model WS 1½ ton  floor jack
This was used in a local service station until about 25 years ago. This model was made in 50s and 60s, possibly older.
The original Hein Werner jacks are great! The new ones are not the same, even though they might have the same name. Unlike the new ones, this jack can be rebuilt. I bought it to have as a spare for my other Hein Werner, but I have never needed to scavenge any parts from it. You can rebuild the hydraulic cylinder yourself or take the cylinder out and send it to a hydraulic shop.

He did a beautiful job for a fair price. I can’t post a link to him here, but you can find his contact info with a quick search online.
Condition:
I have not taken this one apart, but I assume that the cylinder needs a complete rebuild with all new seals. I don’t see any structural issues with this jack. The things that I look for are:
Snapped cross piece on the underside – it connects the two side plates;
Cracked castings
Missing pieces
Damaged star gears.
