Laptop has been flashed with Insyde H20 BIOS. This makes it possible to install other operating systems than just the outdated ChromeOS 52 (which is the maximum that it natively supports). The SSD currently has a fresh install of Neverware CloudReady, an open-source version of ChromeOS running Chromium version 89. You can also install various version of Linux (Ubuntu and Linux Mint run great) or Windows. Windows 10 was a bit slow, but Windows 7 is usable. Just pop in a USB installer with whatever OS you want and install, or login with your Google account and you're ready to go out of the box.
Overall it's in decent shape for it's age. It does have the typical hinge damage, which has been epoxied internally to ensure it doesn't get worse. Read up on that if you're unfamiliar, but it just gets slightly out-of-square when opening and closing. It's easy to push it back into proper placement, and does not effect using the device in any real way. Otherwise, typical scratches/scuffs from throughout the years. Lid is covered with the included Chrome-themed stickers, but easy to remove. Generic 19v battery charger included as well.
