Issued in 2017 to celebrate the 225th anniversary of the United States Mint, this American Liberty 225th Anniversary Silver Medal Set features four 1oz silver medals each with a unique finish and mint mark:
Emblematic figures of liberty have graced American coins and medals since the founding of the United States Mint 225 years ago. This portrayal of Lady Liberty features a modern rendition of this iconic figure and embodies the ideals of freedom and equality first set forth in our Declaration of Independence. Each of the four medals is struck from .999 fine silver and hand-packaged in an exquisite, black presentation case. Each set is accompanied by a companion booklet detailing the evolution of our Nation’s symbol on its coins and medals over the centuries.
The obverse (heads) features a profile of Liberty wearing a crown of stars. Inscriptions are "LIBERTY," "1792," and "2017." The reverse (tails) depicts a bold and powerful eagle in flight, with eyes toward opportunity and a determination to attain it. Inscription is “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.”
This set contains 4 stunning American Liberty Silver Medals, each one struck at one of the 4 U.S Mints and each with a unique finish and mint mark. They include:
